“The crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and the Lord tests hearts.” Proverbs 17:3

Dear Reader,

Sometimes I think of my life -in terms of self-improvement as if I were engaged in constant exercise. Every experience, difficult or otherwise, is an opportunity for me to grow. Like trying a new workout at the gym and hurting in areas where I was not aware there even was a muscle. It’s sore for a time, but eventually, the pain subsides and new growth occurs. Whatever pain I might be feeling at the moment is necessary. I know that God has a plan for my life and that the trials I endure for the present will all culminate in a purpose used to glorify Him.

1 Corinthians 10:31 says “… whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” My hope is that you will find encouragement in His Word today. Be blessed.
