Tacos de Carnitas

My family loves this dish, and I love slow-cooker meals, especially in the summer. There is no oven heating up my kitchen. No standing over the stove. Just 10 min prep, and then 6 hours of waiting, but trust me the amazing smells in my house to day made the wait worth it!

Tacos de Carnitas

Pork loin

2 tbsp olive oil

1 cup water

2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp paprica

1/2 chili powder

1/2 tsp black pepper

Juice of 2 limes

Sear the loin in oil on all sides in large skillet over med/high heat. Once golden brown transfer pork to slow-cooker and add water, spices, and lime juice. Cook on low heat for 6-8 hrs. Shred with fork and serve as desired.
